Five People You Didn’t Know were in the WWE Hall of Fame

WWE Hall of Fame started in 1993, with the first inductee being Andre the Giant. Since then, there have been a total of 234 inductees. WWE has been around for over 60 years, so it makes sense why the number is so high.

However, over the years, the WWE Hall of Fame lost its prestige. What started out as only admitting the legends of the wrestling industry slowly turned into more and more celebrities getting inducted. Names like Kid Rock and Mike Tyson are inductees who really make you question the criteria of the WWE Hall of Fame. So, let’s go over five people you didn’t know were in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Pete Rose

MLB legend Pete Rose was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004. This marked the first time a celebrity had been inducted.

Rose had a very brief stint in WWE, appearing on-screen from 1998-2000. Although he never had a match, he appeared a few different times getting involved in various feuds, one including Kane. Rose last appeared in 2010 on an episode of Monday Night Raw, where he would guest host the show for the night.

While Pete Rose still can’t get into the MLB Hall of Fame, he somehow managed to get into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.

Schwarzenegger had a very brief appearance in the WWE. In 1999, he appeared on an episode of SmackDown to promote his movie End of Days. He went on commentary for a match between Triple H, TEST and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Schwarzenegger only appeared in WWE one other time in 2014 to promote his movie Sabotage. However, he is best friends with wrestling legend, Bruno Sammartino, and even inducted him into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

Drew Carey

Legendary game show host, Drew Carey, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011. Carey shocked the world when he entered the 2001 WWE Royal Rumble match. He didn’t last long, but he definitely left an impression.

Besides that, Carey hasn’t done much in the company besides appearing on shows here and there. However, it is worth noting that Carey was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame before wrestlers such as Sammartino, Bob Backlund and Ultimate Warrior, amongst many other legends.

Snoop Dogg

Legendary rapper, Snoop Dogg, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016. Similar to many other celebrities, Snoop Dogg appeared on WWE television a few different times. He was a guest host on Monday Night Raw and appeared at WrestleMania 24. Also, Snoop Dogg is cousins with one of the best female wrestlers in the world, Mercedes Mone, F.K.A Sasha Banks.

Donald Trump

Yup, the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump is in the WWE Hall of Fame. He was inducted in 2013 by his good friend, Vince McMahon. Trump and McMahon have been friends for years. He appeared at WrestleMania 20 where he was interviewed by Jesse Ventura. Trump was involved in one of the more bizarre WrestleMania matches in 2007.

He and McMahon were feuding, so they each picked a wrestler to represent them in a match. Trump picked Bobby Lashley and McMahon picked Umaga. This was a hair versus hair match where whoever wrestler lost, either McMahon or Trump would have their heads shaved.

Also, Stone Cold Steve Austin was the special guest referee for this match, don’t ask me why because no one really knows. A couple of years later, Trump returned to the WWE and was in a storyline where he bought the company. However, a week later, Vince McMahon bought it back.
