Where Davante Adams will end up is probably the biggest question in football right now. Per NFL Network, Adams told the Raider that his preferred trade destination would be the New York Jets. We all know this is because his former teammate, Aaron Rodgers, runs the show for the Jets.
However, Rodgers isn’t the only former teammate of Adams that is interested in reuniting with him. Per FOX Sports, Davante Adams is open to the idea of becoming a Saint and catching passes from Derek Carr again.
In a press conference today, Carr said that Davante is still one of his closest friends. Also, they have been in touch this week, but they haven’t been talking “about what you would probably think.” He also added, “I think all 32 quarterbacks would love to play with Davante…we would welcome that. I don’t know if I’d get in trouble for saying that. I think it’s just everyone kind of knows that.”
Derek declined to answer a question about why Adams would want out of Vegas but did talk about how Davante had over 1,500 receiving yards the last time they played together in 2022.
That same report from Fox Sports also had the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys as trade destinations Adams could end up with.
Davante won’t play for the second straight week against the Broncos on Sunday. Although he is injured, many thought he could have played last week and this week. He could be sitting because the Raiders want the most trade value possible for him. The trade deadline is November 5th, so the Raiders have a little over a month to decide if they want to deal Adams or not. But, with Davante himself requesting a trade, all signs point to an exit from Vegas this year. If a trade does occur, the Adams-Raiders saga will be remembered as nothing but disappointing.
