EA Has Delayed ‘Star Wars Jedi Survivor’
Electronic Arts’ upcoming game Jedi Survivor has been delayed for six weeks. The game was originally to be released on March 17, but has since been delayed to April 28.
Hitting the Quality Bar
Jedi Survivor is a sequel to EA and development team Respawn Entertainment’s Jedi Fallen Order. The action-adventure game, originally released in 2019, was successful both commercially and critically, eventually going on to be nominated for and winning several awards.
Production on the sequel was announced to have started in January of 2022. However, it seems that allotted time was not adequate enough. In a recent announcement, Respawn and EA have decided that the game needs more time in order to “hit the Respawn quality bar” as well as to give the team the time they need to finish the highly anticipated sequel.
Is the Force with Survivor?
To the gaming community, delays have a mixed reputation. Some fans get anxious or frustrated when games they are looking forward to get delayed. And while sometimes delays lead to highly successful games, sometimes delays can lead to the exact opposite. Only time can tell if what this delay means to the final product.
That being said, here’s hoping that the Force is with Jedi Survivor.
