The Golden State Warriors just assembled the greatest team in NBA history. No, I wasn’t talking about the team they already have. Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green was already a ridiculous team. Now the Warriors somehow one-upped themselves and signed the dagger, DeMarcus Cousins. The Boogie man will sign a one-year deal to sign with the defending champion Warriors. Is it possible for this team to get any better?

The reports are that DeMarcus Cousins won’t be able to return until late December from his mid-season injury. Cousins is still hampered by the Achilles which made him available to a contender. This was the most the Warriors could pay him using the taxpayer mid-level exception. Durant’s friendship with Cousins off the court probably sealed the deal.

At the end of the day, the Golden State Warriors just replaced JaVale McGee with DeMarcus Cousins! Since the Steve Kerr era began, no Warriors player has averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds over the course of an entire season. Boogie has accomplished that feat 7-years in a row. The one true weakness the Warriors had is not a weakness anymore. If Cousins returns to a remotely healthy form, the Warriors just signed one of the 3 best centers in the entire NBA and one who can actually shoot.

Even Houston took Golden State to 7 games. However, if Cousins returns to form, no one is touching this Warriors team. How good is this offseason!
