Conor McGregor Accused of Physically Assaulting Women
UFC superstar Conor McGregor has been accused of physically assaulting a woman and threatening to drown her. The incident occurred after McGregor’s birthday party in Ibiza, Spain last summer. Initially, the incident was not initially investigated by Spanish authorities, but the case has been reopened after more detailed allegations. The news was first reported by Ultima Hora, a Spanish newspaper.
The unnamed victim alleged that she was at Ocean Beach Club in Ibiza and McGregor invited her to celebrate. The woman, who is Irish, was recognized as a neighborhood friend and has mutual friends with McGregor. Eventually, the group stopped partying at the club and the victim and others continued to celebrate on McGregor’s Yacht. This is where the incident occurred.
The victim claims that McGregor kicked her in the body and punched her in the chin before he threatened to drown her.
The victim then jumped off the yacht to escape. After spending time in the water, she was rescued by the Red Cross.
“It was as if he was possessed. I knew I had to leave the boat because I thought he was going to kill me,” the woman reportedly told Irish police. “He’s a criminal. I think he would have killed me if I hadn’t left the yacht.”

After briefly receiving medical care, the women identified McGregor as the aggressor. The lifeguards that provided her with medical care also confirmed that they saw McGregor in the area.
However, the women did not tell the Spanish Civil Guard that McGregor was the attacker. She explained that this was because she left without money or belongings and just wanted to go home.
After the victim returned home to Ireland she reported the incident to the Police. Now, a criminal suit is being opened in Spain and a civil suit is being opened in Ireland. It has not yet been decided if McGregor will be charged with a crime.
McGregor’s spokesperson Karen Kessler denied the allegations.
“Over six months ago an incident was alleged and after a police review, the matter was not pursued. Mr. McGregor is steadfast in his denial of all the accusations made by a guest on his boat,” Kessler said in a statement.
