Chris Sale Is Not A Cry Baby

Chris Sale
Hey, MLB players. Take some lessons from Chris Sale. He will not be a cry baby about the sign stealing controversy with the Astros. (Maddie Meyer/Getty Images)

The sign stealing controversy has taken over MLB. Personally, I think the whole thing is overblown. Every team was cheating to some degree. Fans and players everywhere have taken the cry baby approach. Chris Sale will not be included in that group. He wrapped up the sign stealing controversy in the perfect way.

“Either sit around and cry about it or I can get my ass to work. Try to win a championship”

That’s what a winner sounds like. This is what a grinder sounds like. Take some lessons the rest of you, cry babies. These are my kind of guys. Marcus Smart, Patrick Beverley, Chris Sale, Max Scherzer, etc. You would never hear these type of guys complain over something like this. They are more interested in wanting it more than you.

Notice which guys have complained and which guys have not. Cry baby Cody Bellinger who didn’t hit a lick in the postseason and just wanted something to blame. All of the guys on the Yankees who just needed an excuse. Nobody complained on the Nationals. They found a way to win all 4 games of the World Series in Houston. The Red Sox were able to beat the Astros in 5 games of the ALCS in 2018. I don’t hear any of their players complaining. Just saying.

Maybe that’s just me having a wrestling background. You know, a sport that’s all about overcoming things. Getting your face beat in the mat or going days without food and water. I could never imagine complaining about something like this. Especially when every team does it. Amazing that the Yankees have complained nonstop after being listed in The Athletic report 72 times for cheating infractions found. We need more guys like Chris Sale in the world.
