Buy Low Sell High Fantasy Football 2022 Week 3

Week 3 left a sour taste in most fantasy football players’ mouths. So many lackluster performances without any big-time scorers. We learned that the Jaguars’ offense may be legit and that Lamar Jackson should be the MVP favorite. Based on last week’s buy low sell high list, Marquise Brown and Chris Olave put up fantastic numbers, hopefully you bought low there. And Mike Williams put up another dud.

Buy Low

Joe Mixon

Bengals bounced back from an 0-2 start against the Jets and put up 27 total points. Unfortunately, Joe Mixon only finished with 5.3 fantasy points. This was after 9.8 points in week 2. The Bengals’ offense will put it together and look more like the Super Bowl team we saw last year. Joe Mixon saw 7 targets this week and led the backfield in carries. He is still the redzone back and will get those precious goal line carries. Bigger days are ahead in fantasy football 2022 for Joe Mixon. Joe Burrow and the rest of the offense will put him in much better situations going forward.

Breece Hall

Breece Hall has all the makings of a stud running back. His athletic profile is one comparing him to Jonathan Taylor. He is stuck in a current committee on an otherwise disappointing New York Jets roster, thus landing him on this week’s buy low sell high list. After playing minimal snaps the first two weeks, Breece Hall led the backfield in snaps and dominated the receiving work. Hall commanded 11 targets on 31 routes run. He outproduced Michael Carter on the ground with 39 yards on 8 carries. I think Breece Hall’s role will only increase throughout the season. He is just too talented not to get more touches. Buy the rookie now.

Sell High

Clyde Edwards-Helaire

I don’t want to sound like a broken record after putting Edwards-Helaire on the Week 1 buy low sell high list, but here we are. Relying on him is hoping for a touchdown. Jerrick McKinnon outsnapped Clyde this week. McKinnon also got the same amount of carries while running more routes than Edwards-Helaire. This backfield split is more prevalent than we thought. I do think you can get a nice return on Clyde at this point though. He has put up consistent numbers in the past three weeks, but his ceiling is capped. Try moving Clyde for Kyle Pitts or Keenan Allen.

Dameon Pierce

Another rookie running back hits the buy low sell high list this week. Like Breece Hall, Dameon Pierce’s usage has been trending up. However, Pierce’s role is strictly early-down work. Rex Burkhead played every single third-down snap, and the two-minute drill too. The Texans are likely to be playing from behind more as the season goes on. They’ve been thankful to play against the Colts, Broncos, and Bears to start this year of fantasy football 2022. As they play from behind more, Pierce won’t be touching the field nearly as much as Burkhead. Sell high now after a solid 20-carry, 80-yard, touchdown game.

Trading in fantasy football can make or break your season. Suppose you can take advantage of when to buy low sell high on a player. In that case, you’ll be giving yourself a significantly better advantage as the season goes on, ideally to a fantasy football championship.
