Buffalo Bills 2018 NFL Draft War Room

2017 NFL Draft

The Buffalo Bills made a surprising playoff appearance in 2017. The Bills made the run with Tyrod Taylor but will go in a new direction in 2018. Buffalo holds the 21st and 12th selections in the first round and figure to make a run at a quarterback. Bills general manager Brandon Beane proved that he is really good at the draft when he snagged Tre’Davious White and Dion Dawkins in 2017. Buffalo’s roster is improving and Sean McDermott is an up and coming coach. Having said that, what can we expect from the Buffalo Bills in the 2018 NFL Draft?

With two first-round picks, the goal in Buffalo is to land a quarterback. Will they move up to the second pick in the Giants spot? Will the Browns trade down with the fourth pick? Could Indy move down again with the 6th pick? Regardless, the Bills will be trying like hell to move up. Considering the weather conditions (and the fact that they aren’t good either) Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield can’t really be under consideration. The Bills could go into next season with A.J. McCarron as the starter but regardless, there isn’t a more desperate team searching to find a quarterback.

Bills ‘Not Ready To Pull The Trigger’ On A Trade To Move Up For A Quarterback

Buffalo also has two second-round picks. The Bills can thank the Rams for being dumb on this one because of the Sammy Watkins deal. One might be used to move up for a quarterback. The other could be a wide receiver. Jordan Matthews just signed with the Patriots and Zay Jones is apparently roaming the streets naked. Even Deonte Thompson is off to Dallas. Buffalo really doesn’t have an answer at receiver either. Christian Kirk might be a wise pick. I would compare him to Keenan Allen and is one of the better route runners. Kelvin Benjamin was traded for but looks like a tight end and can’t separate. Kirk is the complete opposite and has a knack for getting open.
