Are The Brooklyn Nets Cursed By The Basketball Gods?

The Brooklyn Nets might be cursed as an NBA franchise. Many thought that this year would be the Nets’ year to be a championship team with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving finally healthy this season. Even more so when they traded for another superstar in the James Harden. Some may have pre-determined that the Nets will win the NBA Championship. That is, until James Harden AND Kyrie Irving got hurt in the Milwaukee Bucks-Brooklyn Nets NBA Eastern Conference Semi-Final series. This leads to the question: Are the Brooklyn Nets cursed by the infamous Basketball Gods?

I can be very superstitious at times, especially with things in sports. There’s no clear way to prove if something as silly as the Basketball Gods exist. However, too many coincidences make it a possibility. However, is the entire Brooklyn Nets cursed? Or did one player bring the curse? Think about it, out of the big 3 in Brooklyn, Kevin Durant has a ring, Kyrie Irving has a ring, but who doesn’t? James Harden. That’s right, James Harden may have brought the curse to the Nets.

Could James Harden angered the Basketball Gods by his style of play for seasons upon end? The possibility might be too good to dismiss. Now the Nets are tied with the Milwaukee Bucks in the series with 2-2. James Harden has a hamstring injury and Kyrie Irving just sprained his ankle. Who knows how much longer they will be out of this series? If they miss the rest of the series, can they win against the Bucks? Could KD be next on the injury list? Are the Brooklyn Nets cursed? All relevant questions that will only be answered with time.
