The Brian Kelly Haters Owe Him An Apology
The Brian Kelly haters need to get over themselves. They’re wrong and trying to argue it at this point is just pure ignorance. The LSU Tigers are playing in the SEC championship game this weekend in year one of the Brian Kelly era. Do we understand how impossible that is? Yet somehow a coach I was told is terrible somehow just accomplished it.
LSU is probably going to get killed this weekend by Georgia. The Tigers are an 17.5 underdogs against the defending champs this upcoming weekend. The reality is that it doesn’t matter if LSU loses by 100 this weekend. They should lose by 100 to this Georgia team. Nevertheless, this was a very successful year one for the Kelly era at LSU and it’s not arguable.
The SEC is the best conference in America and it’s undeniable. Asking for perfection right away is just an unattainable task. It’s like asking you to walk on water. Even the GOAT Nick Saban lost to Louisiana Monroe and went 7-6 his first year at Bama.
Want to hear something crazier? Kirby Smart is the new bread winner in this conference. He went 8-4 his first year at Georgia. Since that time, he’s lost four games in six years.
Point is it doesn’t matter who you are. Even the elite of the elite are struggling in year one in the SEC. Right now LSU is 9-3 in a season that featured a win over Alabama. You people can continue to lie to yourself but if you don’t think Brian Kelly can coach there is no hope for you. Sticking a fork in your eye is a better bet than continuing on with this Kelly can’t coach narrative.
Kelly is winning football games while winning recruiting. He has a top-five class for 2023 coming in. Meanwhile guys he recruited like Harold Perkins are blossoming on the current team. This guy somehow won 9 games with a chance to win more with duck taped bums like Jayden Daniels that have no real NFL future. Nick Saban is at home while Kelly’s team is still playing in year one and you people think he’s terrible. Seek help.
Do the right thing and apologize. I just know you won’t because that’s what the haters do. They run and hide like cowards. For the record, this is your actual chance to apologize. Imagine what this program will look like five years from now.
