Brian Cashman Has Tiny Balls

Nothing is better than watching New York Yankees fans get their hearts ripped out. New York was eliminated in Game 6 of the ALCS after Jose Altuve hit a two run walkoff home run to send the Houston Astros to the World Series. There’s only one man to blame for the Yankees postseason series loss, Brian Cashman. Just like the Dodgers with Andrew Friedman, the Yankees came up short in the playoffs again because Brian Cashman has tiny balls. The New York Yankees have lost their way.

The late great George Steinbrenner has to be rolling in his grave. The Yankees failed to make the World Series or win the World Series this decade. It’s the first time since the 1910’s. This franchise has not been the same George Steinbrenner passed away. Since then, the Yankees have focused on penny pinching, cutting costs, and rolling the dice on questionable characters to gain an edge.

The Yankees have become the mid market Brewers. They relativity have the same success now. That starts with Cashman’s lack of aggressiveness. New York refused to pay the price in free agency for Patrick Corbin. That was despite the fact that Corbin pleaded to play for them. Cashman even called Corbin the best available starter. He refused to pay for him. New York was never in the running for Justin Verlander. Cashman laughed at the Red Sox for the price they paid for Chris Sale when they traded for them. New York passed one what seemed like every top tier starting pitcher available. That’s why the Yankees continue to go home.

The one that really stings is Gerrit Cole. Brian Cashman refused to part with Miguel Andujar and Clint Frazier in a trade package with the Pirates. You can’t make up how stupid that sounds right now. It was Houston that was aggressive and was okay trading away Colin Moran and Joe Musgrove to land Gerrit Cole. It flat out won them the series. Brian Cashman is too big of a pussy to pull the trigger on any trade to acquire a front line starter.

Even last year, Nathan Eovaldi is the perfect example of the new era Yankees. Eovaldi was on the Yankees roster. They cut him because they didn’t wan to pay for him while he was recovering from Tommy John Surgery. The Red Sox eventually acquired him and proceeded to shove nasty Nate down the Pinstripes throats. New York could have avoided all that but they wanted to save a few million bucks. That’s the new Yankees.

The Houston Astros did everything they could to win the World Series at the trade deadline. Jeff Luhnow did what every general manager would do that had a pair of balls. He put his nuts on the table and went for it. He traded for Zack Greinke. Another front line starter. What did the Yankees do? Cashman was too busy trying to acquire Alfredo Garcia. A 20-year-old minor leaguer. That was the only trade the Yankees made. A win now team was worried about trading for minor leaguers. That’s SOOOOOO PATHETIC. Just shows you how big of a pussy Brian Cashman is.

I’ll never take the New York Yankees seriously as long as Brian Cashman continues to remain their general manager. Brian Cashman has tiny balls. When you have the opportunity to win the World Series, you go for it. Cashman never does. He’s too worried about hoarding guys like Miguel Andujar, Clint Frazier, and Clarke Schmidt. Players that never contributed to the playoff run. It’s down right embarrassing to a once proud franchise.
