The Washington Wizards are arguably one of the worst teams in the NBA right now. They don’t have John Wall as he is out with an injury. Other than Bradley Beal, there’s really nobody on that team. Bradley Beal has been playing out of his mind this year. But no one is really talking about it since the Wizards are so bad. Bradley Beal was the subject of a lot of trade rumors, a lot of them with the Lakers. That noise went away went Beal signed a contract extension with the Wizards. It makes you wonder if he made a mistake resigning with Washington. However, no matter how bad it is with the Wizards, he did NOT want to play for Lebron and the Lakers. Chase Hughes at NBC Sports Washington reports:
“I’m good. They’re their own men. They make their own decisions,” Beal said of James and Davis, who left other teams to join up in L.A.
“At the end of the day, there’s no guarantee you’ll win a championship by jumping ship. Only one team wins. When it comes down to my decision-making, I really factored that in. It looks great, but the grass isn’t always greener.”
He really factored it in, he didn’t want to play with Lebron and Anthony Davis and win a championship. Those 3 together would definitely win a championship. Not everyone wants to play with Lebron, despite being the best player of this generation. The grass isn’t always greener is an interesting quote by him. It could mean that playing with Lebron looks like a great idea, but maybe he couldn’t handle it or he just did not want to. Bradley Beal surely wouldn’t be having the numbers he has now if he played with Lebron and Anthony Davis, however, he’d probably get a championship. Either Beal knows something about Lebron and the Lakers that I don’t and that’s why he didn’t want to go. Or he couldn’t handle it. Remember, he didn’t have to sign with the Wizards, he chose to.
