Boston Sports Media Finally Figured Out The Patriots Screwed Up Passing On Ladd McConkey

Nothing and I mean nothing drives me more insane in this industry than hindsight bias. Everybody in this industry acts the same way. People who are proven right are ignored while people who are wrong are constantly advertised for being idiots. It makes no sense to me but it brings us to our topic today, Ladd McConkey.

The Boston Sports Media scene has decided to use hindsight bias and are blasting the Patriots for their idiotic decision to trade away the draft rights to Ladd McConkey for what became Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker. Oh, and the Chargers also ended up getting stud cornerback Tarheeb Still as part of the draft day move too.

It was like clockwork. They all came out of the woodwork.

It’s the same article. They may as well copy and pasted each other and threw it up their on their respective URL. Published on the EXACT same day too.

I just want to know what took them so long? Why take shots after the fact? A real man with pride runs their mouth before the results come through. It’s really easy to do so after the fact. How come these same people never had the courage to blast the Patriots on draft day? What value do these people bring to the table exactly?

I’d argue zero. I just want to know why Trey isn’t getting credit for being first here. I dare you to read my draft profile on the former Georgia wide receiver and tell me where I went wrong. Nobody was more accurate about what McConkey would become before the draft. I also blasted the Patriots in my draft grades post calling the Polk pick “a crazy reach”. Here it is.

That’s not how the Boston Sports Media outlets acted after the draft. They were more interested in passing out cupcakes.

Dear Boston Sports Media outlets,

If you didn’t blast this decision right after the draft, we don’t need to hear from you now. If you were smart, you would throw riots outside the stadium to get me hired over Elliot Wolf for the GM job but I know you’re not intelligent enough to do that. You’re more interested in complaining about it after the fact with hindsight bias.

You’re all embarrassing. Heading into the 2025 NFL Draft, I trust you will do the right thing and make Vendetta Sports Media your number one home for draft coverage this year.
