Bill Burr: Live At Red Rocks Netflix Special Is Elite Comedy
I just want to say I’m sorry and I may have spoken too soon. Not too long ago I wrote a post about the laziness that was starting to go on in the comedy industry. This whole butt buddy thing where 12 comics speak for 10 minutes each is just bad. I would have been PISSED if I paid money for that nonsense. Cooler heads prevail today because the performance that Bill Burr put on at the Red Rocks for his new Netflix special is elite level comedy.
Easily the best stand-up that was released in 2022. No question. It has everything. Vaccines, abortions, lesbians, mushrooms, and abuse. All the good stuff. Bill Burr covers it and aces the performance. Frankly, it’s hard to disagree with his logic which makes it the best part.
Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 67% approval rating. I would go much higher than that. The comedy was real and not inauthentic. The stories were awesome. Especially his experience doing mushrooms for the first time and how it changed him for the better. It’s just an overall must watch. If you need a good laugh, start here.
I need to make this 300 words somehow so I’m just going to go on a long rant about something that’s on my mind. Can we get Bill Burr to announce more Red Sox games? I’m not asking for much. I don’t care if it’s ten per season.
This is broadcasting gold and I need more of it in my life. I don’t care what you have to do NESN to make it happen but I need Bill Burr in the broadcast booth more often next year. Mark 10 games on the calendar for him to do it. Sign the papers. I need it more than anything.
