Miami Heat stars Goran Dragic, and Bam Adebayo have missed back to back NBA Finals games due to previous games’ injuries. Adebayo suffered a strained neck in game one against the Lakers, and Dragic sustained a foot injury in the same game. Dragic has also been dealing with a plantar fascia issue in his foot.  In the previous series against the Boston Celtics, Bam played through a shoulder injury, and there’s some concern about that one as well.

ESPN reported that Bam is planning to play in tonight’s game. He was listed as questionable, and the medical and coaching staff was working hard to get him ready for game four.

“…when they say I’m ready to play, I’ll be out there. But yeah, it sucks sitting on the sidelines.”

The Lakers have a considerable size advantage over Miami. Bam, standing at 6’9, wants to be there on the court for his team. He’s been a breakout player this season and one of the most improved in the postseason. Tyler Herro, Jimmy Butler, and Bam Adebayo are a top-shelf trio in the NBA world right now.

Unfortunately, Goran Dragic is a different story. With a torn plantar fascia, the chances of him getting to play in the Finals at all are slim. Medical staff told him it’s up to his comfort level whether or not he can play. But Dragic stated he is dealing with a lot of pain.

Having been in the league since 2008, Dragic said this is all he’s been working for, a trip to the NBA Finals. Having medical staff tell him it’s not possible this year is extremely emotionally tolling.

“I don’t want to be a liability there on the floor for my team. I want to be the best that I can be. It’s just — it is what it is.”

Dragic remains hopeful but ultimately it will be a game time decision.

Miami plays the Lakers tonight for game four of the NBA Finals.
