Andrew Cogliano Rips Canucks’ Handling Of Bruce Boudreau
The Avalanche defeated the Canucks 4-1 in Friday night’s showdown between the two sides. The Canucks are in a serious downward spiral and Avalanche forward Andrew Cogliano couldn’t stay quiet about it. Every real hockey fan out there knows the truth. The Canucks are making a mockery out of Bruce Boudreau and he deserves better than this.
Vancouver has a hard-on for Rick Tocchet. He’s the heavy odds-on favorite to be the next Canucks head coach. They aren’t making it a secret about it all while Boudreau remains employed.
Ryan Whitney at Spittin Chiclets summed it up about as well as possible last night.
Check out what Cogliano had to say after the game. It was along the same lines.
“I don’t know what’s going on here, but I love Bruce,” Cogliano told reporters after his team’s 4-1 victory over the Canucks on Friday night, according to The Athletic’s Peter Baugh. “I think he’s a great man. He cares about players, he cares about his team, and he’s a good coach.
“I have my thoughts on what’s going on here with him on a personal level, and I don’t think it’s warranted. He’s done a good job throughout the league.”
“We had a lot of success in Anaheim, and I actually attribute a lot of my success in the league to him,” Cogliano said. “So I owe him a lot. … And I think he’ll come out on top of all this.”
Boudreau coached Cogliano during the 2013-14 season when he pocketed a career high 21 goals goals with the Ducks. While with Anaheim, Boudreau coached the Ducks during a five year window. he won the Pacific four out of the five years. Despite whatever you think of Boudreau, he deserves better than this.
