Amazon Launches God Of War TV Show
Jazz hands! We’re excited! Insert unknown Jazz hands emjoi here. The God of War TV show is coming. Mic drop. There is nothing more we need to say. I need it in my life and can’t be more excited.
Amazon head of global television head honcho Vernon Sanders had this to say about the new show:
“The God of War is a compelling, character-driven franchise that we believe will captivate our global customers as much with its expansive and immersive worlds as its rich storytelling,” says Amazon Studios’ head of global television Vernon Sanders.
“We are so proud and excited to be working with our friends at Amazon Studios and our partners at PlayStation Productions to adapt this beautiful and heartbreaking game into a premium live-action series,” adds Sony Pictures Television Studios president Katherine Pope.
My question is where does this story pick up? Are we going way, way back to the original God of War that was released in 2005? If so, Amazon has so much content they have to potentially work with. Kratos is a fascinating character to follow and the story writes itself based on how entertaining the game is. It’s impossible to screw this show up. Anything other than a 10-10 and I’ll be severely disappointed.
We do currently have a Ragnarok series on the YouTube channel for the new Ragnarok game. The kid is annoying but the game is really fun so far. If you want to check that out, we have the playlist for you here.
