AEW Rampage Preview (11/11/22): A Fake Open Challenge Is Set

AEW Rampage is going to feature some intriguing matches. While the biggest stars in the company aren’t advertised for the show, there are still some enticing matches. Let’s be honest, Rampage doesn’t quite hit like it used to. It’s easy to tell that the show is an afterthought to AEW and not much effort goes into it. Nonetheless, I will still be tuning in to watch the show and I do have some excitement about it. With Full Gear on the horizon, more matches can get added to the AEW Full Gear match card. So this is a Rampage worth watching.

Jungle Boy Meets Face-To-Face With Luchasaurus And Christian Cage

Jungle Boy has been feuding with Christian Cage and Luchasaurus over the past couple of months. With both sides getting victories over the other, this feud is far from over. These men will meet face-to-face on AEW Rampage. There is no telling what is going to happen, but I’m anticipating they will add Jungle Boy vs Luchasaurus to the Full Gear match card.

Nyla Rose vs ???

Since Nyla Rose stole the TBS Championship from Jade Cargill, she has been tormenting her. Cargill is still the TBS Champion, but Rose has the title and has been calling herself the champ. Rose and Cargill are set to meet at Full Gear for the TBS Championship, but before that, Rose is holding an open challenge. It will be interesting to see who answers the call, but one thing is for sure, Cargill will be there. Jade is looking to get her title back and I think she is going to show up at AEW Rampage and cause pure chaos.

Brian Cage vs Dante Martin

This is another match in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. The tournament consists of eight wrestlers in AEW who are all looking for a shot at the world title. So far, Ethan Page has advanced in the tournament to the semi-finals. The winner of this match will be facing the winner of Ricky Starks vs Lance Archer. That match was originally supposed to take place on AEW Rampage, but after a brutal attack on Starks, the match has been postponed to next week.

This match is extremely intriguing. Dante Martin is one of the best young talents in AEW and a tremendous high-flyer. Brian Cage is one of the strongest men but also moves like a cruiserweight. With the rest of the Embassy lurking, Martin is going to have to stay focused on Brian Cage if he wants to walk out with a victory.

Bandido vs Rush

This is another match in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. The winner of this match will face Ethan Page. Bandido and Rush have met before in ROH. They have met twice with both men getting a victory over the other. So with the series tied 1-1, this is to see who the better man is. The last time Bandido appeared in AEW was when he lost to Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship. Since that match, he has competed for a few different companies and even won the BodyZoi Championship.

Bandido is young and has a really bright future. So if he wants to make a name for himself, winning this tournament would do just that. Rush is coming off a loss for the All-Atlantic Championship, but has a shot to earn another championship. He is a former ROH World Champion and has even held titles in other promotions. Both of these men wrestle in the Lucha Libre style so this match will be the match of the night on AEW Rampage.

AEW All-Atlantic Championship Match

Lee Johnson vs Orange Cassidy

Orange Cassidy has been nothing short of a fighting champion. Cassidy has defended the title three times, two of them being a triple threat match. Yet, he’s still the champion and so he will continue to give people opportunities, which is exactly what he did to Lee Johnson. Lee Johnson wanted a shot at the title and Cassidy said yes. So here we are, Johnson has the biggest opportunity in his young AEW career. Recently he joined QT Marshall and became a member of the Factory. So, will Johnson shock the world and change the fate of his career by walking out of AEW Rampage as a champion? Or will Orange Cassidy add his name to the list of defeats?
