AEW Dynamite Preview (11/16/22): The Go-Home Dynamite
AEW Dynamite is set to feature a lot of action, boasting five matches, plus appearances from multiple top stars in AEW.
With Full Gear less than a week away, it will be interesting to see how Dynamite unfolds. A lot of rivalries will be heating up and helping build the feud for Full Gear. With so much action in just two hours of television, it is going to be interesting to see how AEW manages all of this. Nevertheless, I’m here to give you a preview of AEW Dynamite, and a preview I shall give you.
We’ll Hear From Britt Baker and Saraya
Since debuting in AEW, Saraya has gotten along with almost every person — except Britt Baker. Saraya had her disagreements with Baker as soon as she stepped foot in the company. The two just don’t like each other and it shows.
After an emotional back-and-forth promo last week, we are set to hear from them again. Following that promo, the match was added to the Full Gear match card. So this will be the first time we have heard from them since the match was made official. What will these women have to say on AEW Dynamite?
We’ll Hear From MJF
We are going to hear from MJF ahead of his AEW World Championship Match at Full Gear. We have heard from him in previous weeks, but this one might be different.
Last week, MJF talked about how when he returned to AEW, all of the spotlight was on the All Out press conference. Recently, we have seen a different side of MJF, one that we haven’t seen before. Fans are starting to feel for him more instead of hating his guts, so it is going to be interesting to see how it unfolds on AEW Dynamite.
We’ll Hear From Jon Moxley
Similar to MJF, we are set to hear from AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley ahead of the big match. If one thing is for certain, this will be an emotional promo that is definitely worth watching. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if MJF and Moxley have a battle on the mic.
We’ll Hear From Samoa Joe
We are going to hear from ROH Television Champion, Samoa Joe, On AEW Dynamite. Joe attacked his friend and TNT Champion, Wardlow, last week. It’s safe to assume we will hear about why Joe did what he did to Wardlow. It’s also going to be interesting to see if AEW adds this match to Full Gear.
The Bunny vs. Toni Storm (c)
Before she faces Jamie Hayter at Full Gear, Toni Storm is set to do battle with The Bunny. This is a world title eliminator match which means if The Bunny wins, she will receive a future title opportunity.
Storm has defended her AEW Women’s World Championship frequently and has competed in her fair share of world title eliminator matches, so she knows what it takes to get the job done. The Bunny hasn’t had much success in AEW, but one match can change her life. A loss here for Storm would be a devastating blow to all the momentum she has — it could even affect her championship match at Full Gear.
The Acclaimed Music Video
The AEW Tag Team Champions, The Acclaimed, are debuting a new music video on AEW Dynamite. If this provides you with anything, it will be entertaining.
Ethan Page vs. Bandido
Bandido has recently become all-elite, which means he is officially signed with AEW, while also entering the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. He has beaten Rush to advance and now he faces Ethan Page.
Page has always been aggressive, but since joining The Firm, he has taken it to another level. Page beat Eddie Kingston last week on AEW Dynamite to advance to the semifinals. The winner of this match will make it to the finals, which will take place at Full Gear. Furthermore, the winner of this tournament will get a title shot at Winter is Coming.
Anthony Bowens vs. Swerve Strickland
Fans are going to get a preview of what to expect at Full Gear as The Acclaimed gets set to defend their AEW Tag Team Championships against Swerve in Our Glory. But first, Anthony Bowens and Swerve Strickland get a chance to feel each other out at AEW Dynamite.
The Acclaimed beat Swerve in our Glory to win the tag titles. Since then, Strickland hasn’t been himself. He has gotten more aggressive and irrational, so it’s going to be interesting to see how these two match up against each other. A win here would carry over some great momentum for their match at Full Gear.
Claudio Castagnoli and Bryan Danielson vs. Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara
This match is extremely interesting because these four men will meet in a fatal four-way match at Full Gear for the ROH World Championship.
Jericho, the ROH World Champion, has vowed to destroy ROH and its legacy. He’s been having success as he’s beaten numerous former champions of ROH and doesn’t plan on stopping. Meanwhile, Castagnoli and Danielson are former ROH World Champions in their own right, so they know what it takes to win the big match.
But before their bout at Full Gear, these men will meet on AEW Dynamite. It is going to be interesting to see how this match unfolds with such a big opportunity less than a week away.
AEW Trios Championship Match
Top Flight and AR Fox vs. Death Triangle (c)
Death Triangle is set to defend their Trios Championship on AEW Dynamite, and they are facing off against a difficult opponent. I say Top Flight and AR Fox are difficult because they haven’t teamed together before. Plus, Darius Martin is returning from injury, so there is an unknown element to this match. Martin got hurt back in April of this year and this is his first match back.
Fox is an independent wrestler who has competed in various different promotions, but most recently, he has been competing on AEW Dark. Death Triangle is having a bit of a conflict in their group at the moment. PAC wants them to do whatever it takes to win, even if it means cheating. Rey Fenix and Penta are adamant about it so it will be interesting to see what they do in this match. Also, I’m predicting we will see the return of The Elite during this match, thus setting it up for Full Gear.
