2022 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Best Pickups for Week 10

I’ll be honest, the fantasy football waiver wire is not too hot heading into week 10. In the past, we have been able to find some really productive players. This week, that will be a challenge. That’s alright though because I am up for the challenge. I had to get creative, but here are the best fantasy football waiver wire pickups for week 10.

*All of these players are available in more than half of ESPN leagues. *

Donovan Peoples-Jones-12.6%

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones has quietly been productive over the last handful of weeks. In PPR formats, he eclipsed the ten-point mark in the Browns’ last three games. Peoples-Jones has become a solid receiving option in Cleveland. In no world is Peoples-Jones a league winner, but there are not many league winners on waivers right now. Instead, he is a solid option that can help you during bye weeks. Plus, Deshaun Watson will return from suspension in a few weeks which will raise his ceiling during the fantasy football playoffs. Peoples-Jones is not the craziest waiver wire add, but he can help your team.

Mecole Hardman- 36.1%

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman is not a bad waiver wire add for week ten. Hardman is in an interesting spot. He is, at best, the Cheifs number three receiving target. Plus, he is fairly touchdown dependent. With that being said, the Cheifs are a very productive offensive. If you are going to be a touchdown-dependent receiver that is the third option on their offense you want to be in Kansas City. In terms of fantasy production, Hardman is getting more opportunities, and he has had more red-zone looks. This has resulted in four straight games of 12 points or more. That is headlined by 28.8 and 19.9 point performances over the last two weeks. If you want to add Hardman, this week is the week to do so.

Cade Otton- 5.1%

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton is one of the best week ten waiver wire options at tight end. Otton is coming off his most productive fantasy football performance of the 2022 season. He had five catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. That’s 17.8 PPR points which is good enough for the fourth-best tight-end performance of week nine. Otton is a great streamer option for week ten as he faces the Seattle Seahawks. It is hard to project his long-term value though. His current success is coming with starting tight end Cameron Brate sidelined. Plus, he will be on bye next week. If you need a tight end for week ten, Otton is your guy.

Odell Beckham Jr.- 19.8%

Now we are getting wild. Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been cleared to play. That means it is time to pick him up from the waiver wire. It is likely that Beckham signs with a team relatively soon. With the choice being in his hands, it is likely Beckham joins a competent team with a strong passing offense. Last year, Beckham proved that he can still be a productive receiver. If he is put in a good scenario he can help your fantasy team.

Beckham may not be a great addition to a lot of teams. First off, it is a high-risk move. If you are a lock to make the playoffs, you should consider making this move. It may be worth a shot if you have an open roster slot too. With that being said, if you are chasing a playoff spot or if you are struggling with bye weeks, you should add a player that can help you now. Just remember, you will likely not get solid production from Beckham until the playoffs. That may be worth a waiver wire add.

Previous Entries

There are a handful of players that I have discussed in previous weeks that are -somehow- still rostered in less than half of fantasy football leagues. It feels like cheating to make an entire post comprised of these names so let’s quickly recap them as a finale. In our week nine waiver wire post I included Chicago Bears Quarterback Justin Fields (44.6%) and Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson (47.4%). Each of those players looked even better in week nine. Add them.

The week eight waiver wire included New York Giants Wan’Dale Robinson (20.3%) and Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (27.3%). These guys are not as strong of options as all of the aforementioned players, but they are still worth a waiver wire add.

Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulich (28.9%) should be rostered in your league. I like Dulcich a lot. He was an entry in the week eight and nine waiver wire posts. If you need a tight end, he likely has the highest season-long upside of all the tight ends available. The aforementioned Otton may be a better streamer option for this week though. Still, it is Dulcich all day for a long-term pickup.
