2021 NFL Draft Prospects That Should Decrease SimBull Share Prices

Call this a bust list as you will. The 2021 NFL Draft is going to be fascinating to see how the SimBull prices rise and fall on the big day. I’m going to examine players that should theoretically decrease share prices for that specific team. Let’s get right into it.

Kyle Trask – Kellen Mond

The team that reaches for either of these quarterbacks in the first round would be making a huge mistake. Maybe it happens, maybe it doesn’t. Regardless, that’s a must sell stock. The fact of the matter is, neither Kyle Trask or Kellen Mond have any chance of becoming elite level franchise quarterbacks. Your team is signing up for garbage. Get out of that business right away.

Jaelan Phillips

I can’t wrap my head around why someone would pull the trigger on Jaelan Phillips in the first round. Sure, he’s a big time recruit with decent production. We’re also talking about someone who retired from the sport because of head injuries. That’s a ticking time bomb I’m not signing up. The team that picks him could end up throwing their first round pick down the toilet after a year or two. Probably a time to sell that stock.

Reaching For Wide Out

Picking a wide receiver in the first round has been a big mistake more often than not. For whatever reason, wide outs that aren’t deserving have gotten pushed up the board for no reason. Could a team become desperate and pull the trigger on say Kadarius Toney way too early? Seems probable. Don’t be the team that takes a gadget guy in round one. Sell that stock!

Travis Etienne

As I mentioned in my running back rankings, I’m not very fond of Travis Etienne. Picking a running back in the first round isn’t a smart proposition anyway 90 percent of the time. Etienne doesn’t belong anywhere close to that conversation. He’s a hell of a lot closer to CJ Spiller than anyone wants to admit. If your team picks Etienne, it might be time to pull the plug on that stock.
