Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman Claims He’s Happy He Didn’t Trade For Chris Sale

Two years ago the Red Sox were in serious trouble. David Ortiz was set to retire leaving a huge hole in the lineup. They decided to fill that void in another way when they traded for White Sox ace Chris Sale to give the Red Sox one of the best rotations in baseball. Dave Dombrowski traded highly regarded prospects Yoan Moncada and Michael Kopech but thus far have not really contributed at the MLB level. Sale, of course, helped the Red Sox win the World Series in 2018.

Enter Yankees general manager Brian Cashman who keeps running his mouth like a little bitch. When the Red Sox traded for Chris Sale two years ago, he called the Red Sox the Warriors signaling that it was somehow unfair. Now Cashman claims that he is happy he never pulled the trigger for Chris Sale. Can you believe this guy?

“Thank God I didn’t do that, actually,” Cashman told reporters at the general managers’ meetings, as reported by the New York Post, “because you’d be missing some serious components of our major league club right now that are under control. We wouldn’t have gotten anywhere if I did anything like that with the White Sox back then.”

Again, as I said earlier today, Cashman is so smart that he’s actually dumb. What the f*ck is he talking about? He just watched the Red Sox win the World Series (a championship they don’t win without Sale) and his response was that he’s glad that Sale isn’t in New York? Yeah, I wonder if this quote will come back to haunt him. What an IDIOT!

You know what smart people do? I’ll give you an example. The Patriots play the Titans this week. A reporter asked Bill Belichick about Malcolm Butler’s struggles with the Titans. Here was his response.

“They lead the league in defense, OK? So that’s our challenge,” Belichick said Wednesday at Gillette Stadium. “As an offense, we’re playing 11 guys and we’re playing their coaching staff and the schemes they put up against us. And right now, they’re playing better defense than anybody in the league. So we’ll see how we do. I don’t know. It’ll be tough — I know that.”

Does Bill Belichick know that Malcolm Butler sucks? Of course, he does! He will never let you know that because he’s not an idiot. Butler has allowed the most touchdowns in the NFL this year but if you ask Belichick in a press conference he will probably say he is an all-pro because he isn’t giving you any bulletin board material.

Remember when Cashman said this about the Red Sox in July? (NBC Sports)

Cashman… just shut your mouth. Actually no. Keep spewing shit out of your mouth. All it does it apparently help the Red Sox win while you cower like a little bitch. Cashman didn’t even stop there. He’s now claiming that Luis Severino is better than Chris Sale? A: You don’t know to say either way. B: Severino is not better than Sale.

“In this case, you’d be losing starting position players that you have that are young and controllable as well as a pitcher (Severino) who was a Cy Young Award candidate (in 2018) in his own right,” Cashman said. “We just weren’t in the position back then.

“No regrets on that. Good, sound business decisions then.”

Sale is 29-12 since joining the Red Sox. In 372.1 innings in Boston, Sale has pitched a 2.56 ERA, 545 strikeouts, 13.2 strikeouts per 9, and a WHIP of 0.924.

Severino is 33-14 during that time frame. His Yankees stat line in four years is 3.51 ERA, 572 strikeouts, 9.9 strikeouts per 9, and a WHIP of 1.154.

That’s Some Cheese – Episode 19 – 4.6.18

Cashman… you small minded imbecile… it’s not close. Severino is a nice pitcher but he’s no Chris Sale. Can you imagine what’s going to happen when this quote gets back to Sale? He might throw a no-hitter in Yankee Stadium. It truly is sad and pathetic how embarrassing the Yankees brass has become. At this point, I feel bad. I want some worthy competition. I’ll just have to wait for the Blue Jays to get good I guess with Vlad Jr. coming up.
