Will Jeff Bezos Buy The Phoenix Suns?
The Robert Sarver days are over. Long story short; It’s only a matter of time before the Phoenix Suns have a new owner. Is there a better candidate to buy the Suns than Amazon mogul, Jeff Bezos? The guy has to diversify his portfolio and spend the money somehow, right?
Apparently, there could be some credence here. Ramona Shelbourne was on NBA Today and spoke about who could be some potential candidates to buy the Suns.
Shelburne: “There’s been a few names that you’ll hear: Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, Robert Iger, former CEO of Disney, Laurene Jobs, who’s a minority owner of the Washington Wizards as well, Larry Ellison, these are big names that are out there, there’s gonna be a lot more names that you’ll hear over the coming days and months, but my expectation is it’ll be an outside owner who comes in to buy the Suns, and it’ll take a couple of months at least, but Robert Sarver controls this process.”
Now that’s interesting! Add the eyeball emojis here. With all the money Amazon has, you have to think Bezos comes out on top, not? They already have broadcasting rights in the NFL. Rumors have come out that they may or may not have been buying EA Sports to add to their gaming portfolio. Why not an NBA team next?
Jeff Bezos has unlimited money and it seems like only a matter of time before he owns one of these sports teams. It could very well end up being the Suns.
