The Chickster Was Right: James Harden Is A Cancer
Every now and again, the Chickster is onto something, huh? The most notorious James Harden hater at our site should give himself a pat on the back today. What’s fair is fair. Harden is a cancer.
Trey will always be a man of honor and integrity. I can’t say that about the rest of society. I’m just waiting for one person to acknowledge I’ve been the only person who’s told the truth about Russell Westbrook all these years.
It’s time to put your hand up. Nobody can defend James Harden today. Nobody.
Forcing his way out of Houston was ugly. I mean the guy went as far as to put on a fat suit. It was semi understandable. The Rockets were on the decline and have been basically the worst team in the league since that trade. Forcing his way out of Brooklyn? Nope. Don’t get it.
The Nets were a Kevin Durant toe away from winning the NBA Finals. That was with Harden being a shell of himself, Kyrie Irving out with an injury, and Joe Harris shooting worse than me from downtown. A healthy Nets team is still THE best team in the NBA. Harden walked away from that.
I know, I know; Kyrie is weird. Harris is hurt. So is Kevin Durant. Come playoff time, the Nets were still the favorites to win the title (and still are according to oddsmakers). The Harden, Durant, Irving trio only played 16 games together but it was also the most lethal offense in NBA history. That’s not hyperbole. Harden walked away from that.
Joel Embiid is awesome but are we seriously going to pretend he’s reliable? The trade is easy to understand from a Philadelphia perspective. Certainly not a Harden perspective. Embiid has still never played 65 games in an NBA season and likely won’t age well given the injury history and pure size. We’re one foot injury away from Harden being miserable face palming himself that he left Durant for Tobias Harris. Good luck.
Don’t get me wrong; Philadelphia has a shot to win the NBA Title now. They didn’t 48 hours ago. If Harden wins the title, I’ll certainly look foolish. I just refuse to believe his odds of winning a title were worse with Kevin Durant who is head and shoulders the best player in the league at this point.
Harden should be viewed as a quiter. Harden should be viewed as a bailer. When the going gets tough, Harden rolls over. There is too much evidence to support this now. Credit to the Chickster for calling it.
I’ve never been a pro or anti-Harden guy. I’ve just always viewed him as a naturally gifted scorer and one of the game’s most brightest stars. I side with Chickster now. It’s impossible to like the guy now (unless you’re a 76ers fan).
What’s fair is fair. I just want to know when everyone else will do the same and call me a genius for all the bad things I said about Westbrook all those years. I’m still waiting. It just probably won’t happen because we know society is filled with cowards and keyboard warriors.
