Ranking The Available Quarterback Better Than Tom Brady

If you think Tom Brady is still a good quarterback, your TV doesn’t work. The single dumbest storyline of the NFL offseason is Tom Brady watch. Nobody should care about this topic because Brady is washed. This is old man Peyton Manning all over again. Brady not only can’t play anymore, there is a significant number of quarterback options better than Brady. I’m going to rank those options.

1: Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa is the single most efficient passer in the history of college football and a sure fire franchise quarterback. Let’s keep it moving.

2: Joe Burrow just completed the single greatest season in the history of college football. 60 touchdown passes, a Heisman trophy, and a national championship. Let’s continue.

3: Teddy Bridgewater is 28 and has a career record of 22-12. Bridgewater just went 5-0 with New Orleans completing 68 percent of his throws. You’re going to win a lot of games with Teddy. Don’t ask me why more teams aren’t all over him.

4: Jameis Winston led the NFL in passing yards well over 5,000 yards. Imagine he goes to New England and cuts his interceptions in half? That’s a significantly better option.

5: Dak Prescott will likely get franchised. Do I really need to explain any further?

6: Ryan Tannehill is also probably getting franchised. Tannehill just beat Brady in the playoffs and it wasn’t by accident.

7: Drew Brees was better than Brady last year in basically any statistical category you want to point to in fewer games. He’s not leaving New Orleans but there’s no way to point to Brady being better than Brees last year.

8: Name the other rookie quarterback. Justin Herbert, Jordan Love, Jacob Eason, Jake Fromm, etc. Name whoever you want. From a cap and development standpoint, why wouldn’t you just draft your next guy? Rookie quarterbacks are cheap too. Do you want 43 year old Brady or 21 year old rookie and all these guys have some sort of potential? Pick the one you like.

9: I’m going to assume Cam Newton is healthy. If he’s not then scratch this name. If Newton is healthy, Cam brings way more to the table in terms of athleticism. Cam has never been the most accurate guy in the world but even he was more accurate in 2018 than Brady was last year. Healthy Cam Newton is a real game changer.

10: Andy Dalton: Let’s throw out 2019 because that Bengals team was ass. You can make a real argument 2018 Dalton with the Bengals roster was better than Brady in 2019 with New England’s culture. Dalton beats Brady in completion percentage, touchdown percentage, and yards per attempt.

There is a minimum of 10 available quarterbacks more valuable than Tom Brady this offseason. A list that can easily be expanded if I list all of the rookie quarterbacks. Derek Carr is a given but I’m not sure Oakland will actually move on. It’s a list that can be expanded even further if you include Marcus Mariota who’s way younger. Philip Rivers might be more productive at this point but that’s up in the air based on age regression.

Here’s some basic facts. Tom Brady ranked 27th in completion percentage, 25th in touchdown percentage, 29th in yards per attempt, 19th in QBR, and 18th in rating. The man is cooked, it’s over, Brady is finished. I don’t know what the hell games you were watching but Number 12 on New England stinks. Keep in mind he ranks near the bottom in everything with New England. Are you sure Taysom Hill doesn’t belong on the list? How about Cardale Jones in the XFL?

You go ahead and leave, Tom. Hey, I’m sure he will get better at 43 instead of 42. Take the name off the jersey and you would think you’re watching an old version of Chad Pennington. Give it up. Can we stop talking about this nonsense? Why anybody wants Tom Brady at this point is laughable.
