Despite The Thunder’s 0-4 Start, Russell Westbrook Isn’t Worried

Look, let me start by saying; I couldn’t give two shits about the NBA regular season. It means nothing. It’s 82 games of meaningless nonsense. BUT… what does matter is certain players in the NBA have zero self-awareness. Russell Westbrook continues to be the league’s biggest cancer and his idiotic play was on full display following a 101-95 loss to the Boston Celtics.

It wasn’t just that the Thunder lost. It came after they led 94-85 with 4:22 remaining in the fourth quarter. Westbrook finished off the final quarter with his classic choke job going 0-7 with 3 turnovers in the fourth quarter. Pouring salt in your eyes would have been a more enjoyable experience than watching that clown show.

Oklahoma City is now 0-4, their worst start in franchise history. Westbrook doesn’t seem to be concerned.

The following via Royce Young of ESPN:

“We’re OK. We’ll be alright,” Westbrook said. “It’s early. I’m confident in my guys in this locker room, I’m confident in myself and my abilities to make sure that we have an opportunity to win a ballgame. There’s no need to panic. Obviously we’re not starting the way we wanted to, but we’ll be OK and I will make sure of that. So, not worried.”

The timing of this ugly performance couldn’t have come at a better time. Just earlier Westbrook was chastised by a former member of the Thunder for being a terrible teammate. I have never been more right about a human being than I am about Russell Westbrook. He’s a total cancer. How low does your IQ have to be to think that Westbrook actually helps your team win? Just try to imagine this scenario. I’ll paint the picture for you. Westbrook is like that chick you see at the bar who is kinda hot but then you find out that she is riddled with AIDS. Only the idiots continue to look past that detail and go home with her anyway. The smart people stay away.

You may be thinking that this is just one night but no sir… this happens ALL THE TIME. It was a classic Westbrook game – 5-20 shooting and 0-5 on 3’s. This is a guy who won a fraudulent MVP award shooting 42 percent. Imagine what this guys’ resume would be if he wasn’t fortunate enough to play with Kevin Durant? Westbrook hasn’t won a playoff series without him. Was anything more laughable than watching him get outplayed by Ricky Rubio in the playoffs last year?

Here’s Westbrook on his pathetic 4th quarter performance:

“That’s on me,” Westbrook said of the Thunder’s poor fourth quarter. “I take full responsibility on making sure we gotta do what we gotta do to win the game. We’ve got to do a better job making sure we close the game so, that’s on me.”

I wonder what the excuse is going to be this time? Paul George decided to stay. They rid themselves of the other cancer, Carmelo Anthony. Steven Adams routinely leads the NBA in rebounding. They also added Dennis Schroder this offseason. I’ll be anxiously awaiting for ESPN’s trash narrative.
