Boxing Day Shopping: NFC North
Think of this as a sequel to my mini-series yesterday, in which I gave gifts to Christmas gifts to every team in the AFC. Now, all the gifts have been opened and it’s time to capitalize on the boxing day deals and go shopping to improve every team in the NFC! Now, we start with the NFC North.
Green Bay Packers: Front Office With Balls
The only thing holding back the Packers are themselves. Today, we go out and we get them a front office with the balls to mortgage some of the future to win in the present. The Buccaneers are utilizing void years and pushing money into the future to build the best roster in the present. It’s time the Packers begin to do the same and convince Aaron Rodgers to stay.
Detroit Lions: Playmakers
I love Dan Campbell. That man is building a culture that I want to play for and one I truly believe in. That being said, this roster is in major need of an influx of talent. There’s no quarterback with elite upside that I can see going to Detroit and I’m trying to be somewhat realistic with these. So, let’s add some playmakers to the Detroit lions. A true top receiver, and some difference-makers in the secondary would help put the Lions around a .500 team.
Minnesota Vikings: A New Head Coach
Simply put, Mike Zimmer needs to be gone. It’s time for someone new and creative to take over the Vikings. Their roster is pretty bad and I think Kirk Cousins is an above-average quarterback who is capable of taking a very solid roster deep into the playoffs. Zimmer is holding this team back, it’s time for a change.
Chicago Bears: Support for Fields
The Chicago Bears can’t waste their time with Justin Fields on a rookie quarterback contract. It’s time to clean house and get a general manager and coach who know what they’re doing. It’s time to build an offensive line to give Fields time, if Chicago can do this then they’ll be able to compete in the NFC North.
